Associate attorney Jarrie Chang joins Baydaline & Jacobsen’s team of practitioners in the role of general counsel to community associations. Ms. Chang handles a wide range of transactional matters, including global revisions and amendments to governing documents, interpretation of legal issues, preparation of vendor contracts, and intervening in disputes between homeowners and associations. Ms. Chang also provides assistance in pre-trial litigation matters.
After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in History with Honors from the University of California, Davis, Ms. Chang received her Juris Doctorate in 2010 from the UC Davis School of Law, King Hall. During law school, Ms. Chang externed for Chief Judge Jennifer Gee in the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Administrative Law Judges. As a certified law student, she served as counsel in a civil federal jury trial and co-authored a Petition for Writ of Certiorari to the Supreme Court of the United States. She received a Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Criminal Law. In addition to earning King Hall’s Public Service Certificate, Ms. Chang demonstrates her commitment to community service in her pro bono efforts with the International Institute of the Bay Area, and ongoing participation with the Saint Vincent de Paul Society. She is admitted to the State Bar of California.
